What should I do to achieve dimensional accuracy? Say I need to get an exactly 2 mm slot!

a 2mm slot +- .1 mm is easy or hard. It depends on your laser and your material. General recommendations, if you know someone with a Fiber Laser dont worry about a hole the same size or larger than the thickness of the material. I recommend you work in steel or stainless steel 14 Ga or thinner.
