You have to correct Componet in Component - to be professional...

Component is a Siemens NX phrase not inventor.

Component is an English word that Inventor uses. It is never spelled Componet.

What does it do that Vault or Design Assistant won’t do?

This is my first add-in for inventor.

Yeah, it do almost the same function (copy) as Design assistant.

The advantage of it , you don't have to open Design assistant extra .

One more advantage that is not available in Design Assistant, the Component replacement. This is additional and important when working on Assemblies .

I don't use Vault

Hope the tool is useful for inventor users.

Component replacement is already a function of Inventor. You can replace a single instance or all instances.

Copy design is one of the primary reasons I use Vault. It gives full control for copying parts and assemblies and their drawings. In the case of assemblies, you can simultaneously copy any sub components along with their detail drawings. The ability to do an extensive “where used” search in Vault often indicates a copy design isn’t even required.

Outside of Vault, it may be that you have a good solution.

Component replacement can only replace an existing component with another existing component, but not replacing it with a copy and its drawing.

Yeah, i understand it as it's difficult to only work with Design Assistant to copy files. In office i use Gain Collaboration and it's an a good tool like vault and it offers similar function.

That's why i decided to make similar functions for inventor users who don't use Vault or Gain .....etc

Il existe déjà une fonction dans Inventor.

Cette fonction permet de renommer et remplacer le composant dans l'assemblage.

C'est la fonction "sauver et remplacer"

The component replace function, do replace components inside of the assembly with new component and its drawing..
