Open the Drawing: Start by opening the drawing where you want to import the 2D dimensions.
Insert Drawing View: Insert the drawing view of the part or assembly for which you want to import the 2D dimensions. You can do this by going to Insert > Drawing View > Model..., then select the part or assembly and place the view on the drawing sheet.
Show Model Items: Right-click on the drawing view you inserted and select Show Model Items from the context menu. This action brings up the "Show Model Items" dialog box.
Select Dimensions to Import: In the "Show Model Items" dialog box, you'll see various options for model items you can import, including dimensions, annotations, geometric tolerances, and more. Uncheck all options except for "Dimensions" to import only the 2D dimensions.
Click OK: Once you've selected only the "Dimensions" option, click OK. SolidWorks will import only the 2D dimensions from the model into the drawing view.
Position Dimensions: After importing the dimensions, you may need to adjust their positions and orientations in the drawing view to ensure clarity and readability.
Review and Edit: Review the imported dimensions to ensure they accurately represent the desired measurements. You can edit or delete dimensions as needed using the drawing tools provided in SolidWorks.
Save the Drawing: Once you're satisfied with the drawing, save your changes.
