How to do stress analysis of a sphere
Hi,
I wanted to do a stress analysis of the pressure of three fingers of the gripper on the glass sphere. I simply need to find out what maximum force I can apply in the gripper so that the sphere is not destroyed. The problem came when I modeled the fingers and the sphere and applied forces to the fingers of the gripper, but the stresses only occur on the fingers and the force is not transferred to the sphere. Would anyone be able to help me create such a simulation?

You could use ANSYS to do such a simulation, you don't really need to model fingers and thumbs, just the sphere and making sure of the material assignment, type of sphere etc.
