How to calculate roller brush size.
I want to make a solar panel cleaning robot. But I don't know what forces affect my brush and how I should find true motor size. How would you do that?

Probably the safest thing would be to obtain these efforts through a small real trial that reproduces, at least on a certain scale, the task of removing the type of dirt you intend to clean. You could use a brush sector (let's say "unit length") driven by any motor (large enough to do the task) to which you can measure its real consumption (it will also be "unitary") and in this way choose the most appropriate motor to drive the actual brushes (of arbitrary length) you need to use.
It is not that it is impossible to do a theoretical calculation, but it will force you to arbitrarily choose some parameters that could significantly vary the result.
