The purpose of this group is to be a helpful source for finding free engineering software. All software in this group must be free to private users, no limited time licenses or restricted capability software, such as limited g-code output or not saveable / exportable.
This group is NOT for debugging problems or showing off projects.
When introducing new software, try to include:
- Software use - 2D / 3D CAD, CAM, 3D printing, Drafting, EDA, Rendering, Virtual Sculpting, Animation, etc
- Link to software home page or Github
- Pros and Cons
- OS it runs on - Windows, Linux, etc
